On a daily basis I get to work with our fabulous group of Trisutto coaches, age group and professional athletes. As the first point of contact for enquiries at Trisutto / TBF Coaching I never know what surprises my day will bring – new training camp locations, mentoring of new coaches, welcoming new athletes into the Trisutto family, or assisting our current athletes be the best that they can be. I'm still active on deck coaching, alternating between Trisutto Global HQ in St Moritz, training camps around the world with our head coach Brett, and home on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.
Description of Robbie Haywood
What have you achieved in your coaching career?
70.3 World Champion (AG), 3 x ITU World Champions (AG), multiple Kona qualifiers, countless podiums. Coaching support for 2 x Kona World Championships (Pro).
Why do you work with Trisutto?
As an amateur athlete my results were unspectacular until I tapped into Trisutto training methods. I had known of Brett for more than a decade before reaching out to him to discuss training. That as they say is history! with the final 4 years of my age group racing the most prolific and result producing. An invitation to coach in early 2012 was the start of working closely with Brett that has grown from there.
Absolutely incredible coach that Robbie guy :)17 May 17
You have to be careful with Robbie, sometimes he will write a "cool-down" into your programme and when you look closer, you see it's actually "15 minutes all out running" after bike intervals.
Despite little issues like that, Robbie seems to have the ability to write extremely effective training plans and get you through the tricky phases of Ironman training with a wealth of insight, advice, and the occasional motivational speech based on "Finding Nemo".
